Prosper Darensbourg was a sugar plantation owner and state legislator from Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana during the Reconstruction era. He served in the Louisiana House of Representatives.[1]

Charles Frédérique d'Arensbourg (also known as Charles Frederick d'Arensbourg and sometimes written Darensbourg) (1693–1777), born Karl Friedrich von Arensburg, was an early leader in the settlement of the German Coast region of Louisiana.

He was listed in the 1855 Cohen's New Orleans Directory.[2]
