RD Studios[edit]

RD Studios is a British film studio and television studio located in Park Royal, West London, England.

Recognised as one of London's most extensive sustainable film production facilities, securing an A+ EPC and 5 star ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating [1] [2] for their approach to building materials, the company is committed to being one of the most sustainable and green film studio facilities in Europe.

Facilities[edit]

RD Studios is one of the largest film production facilities in London, with over 45,000 ft² of studio space and a 36,000 ft² yard. It is complete with 5 sound stages [3] each with their own hair and makeup facilities and green rooms. All of the stages feature perimeter draping rails and a fully automated truss [4], meaning rigging work can take place at ground level.

Automated Truss[edit]

Rigging points are equipped with pre-installed electrical hoists (Motors) which can help save time and reduce costs associated with shipping, installing and de-rigging for each production. Each setup includes fixed ‘rigging points’, primary trusses, with optional spreaders and rigging support services.[11]

Sustainability[edit]

RD Studios is committed to being one of the most sustainable and green film studio facilities in Europe. [12] The building is one of the most energy efficient industrial units in London - with solar panels extending across the entire roof, electric vehicle charging for multiple vehicles on site [13] and a rainwater harvesting system [14] which helps save thousands of litres of water usage per year.
