Richard Leopold Wormser (born 1933) is a documentary filmmaker, author, and professor in the United States.[1] He made a PBS documentary about Jim Crow laws and wrote a companion book for it.[2][3] He has written non-fiction books for young adults.

His documentary film subjects include the Elaine massacre, Communist Party in the United States, prison life, and 1968 Democratic Party Convention in Chicago. He is featured in Something about the Author Autobiography Series, Thomson Gale, Detroit, Michigan, Volume 26, 1998.
