Richmond P. Barnes (January 29, 1859 – November 11, 1946)[1] was a justice of the New Mexico Supreme Court from September 25, 1922 to November 7, 1922, when he was defeated for reelection.

Born in Carthage, New York.[1]

Moved to New Mexico in 1885, read law in Silver City, served in the 33rd Territorial Legslature from 1897 to 1899. Served in the New Mexico State Legislature from 1917 to 1919.[1][2]

He died at his home in Albuquerque at the age of 87.[1]
