Rufus P. Tapley (January 2, 1823 – April 10, 1893), of Saco, Maine, was a justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court from December 21, 1865 to December 21, 1872.

Born in Danvers, Massachusetts, Tapley read law to gain admission to the bar in the May Term of 1848. He was appointed as an associate justice on December 21, 1865, thereafter serving until December 21, 1872. He died at Saco, Maine.[1]
