What is STEM Education in Cambodia?

The Stem Education in Cambodia are very crucial to Cambodia Development Stages as this is a step to influence Cambodia Economic from a middle-income country to the upper-middle-income country. Furthermore, the Stem Education purpose is to create many human capitals in the Cambodia Sector or field. With the commitment of country transformation from an agricultural-based to industrial-base country, STEM is the foundation of nursing the country foundation development. Moreover, STEM Program in Cambodia was established in 2015 resulting 10 existing NGS across the country.

STEM foundation mainly focuses on the educational sector to align with the Nation al Strategic Development Plan (NSDP).  The word STEM includes Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematic that in order to deliver this concept of STEM to the Cambodia Society, there have been many organizations program and universities develop this STEM practice into their mission and vision program whether it is an educational institute, firm or organization.

The New Generation School Program is an example of education institute of STEM program where they focus on improving the student knowledge and abilities to be very familiar with the filed of technology that align with the modern timeline of the digital era. This education program is not only helping the student but also the society lifestyle to much more advanced and well adapted.. Therefore, every student who enrolls in NGS Program will able to experience a new learning environment. For instance, they will be able to experiment the theory that they have learned whether it is in science subject, or mathematic. To celebrate the student real life application practice , students are given the chance to display their creation during school event, and activities. Not only this help the students to prove their incredible talent but it is also inspired others student to feel educated and inspired to do the same creation or even better creation for their own theory preference of STEM major.

The STEMEOC is another illustration of why STEM implementation is not just about learning theory, but it is a daily implementation to fulfill the need of the society and it is the fast-problem-solving tactic related to society convinces. Nevertheless, this STEM Education Organization Cambodia was heavily supported by the Ministry of Education Youth and Support and Ministry of Environment.  As a result, not only did this program help inspiring the young generation to be innovative mind but also help support gender equality where regardless of the gender , they are welcome to dedicate their passion of STEM to create a sustainable environment and development of the Cambodia country.

Without the STEM Education, a country will not be able to keep up with the digital civilization which is why a country need to have a strong foundation of evolution of civilization so that the country can easily be in the same motion as other countries internationally and globally.

In conclusion, the STEM education within the country is the key to encourage the citizens to exceed their abilities to achieve a lifestyle that is much more flexible, peaceful, and safe for themselves and society. The more the country is willing to innovate , the more opportunity the country will be able to gain in term of technology, trading, and global market share. Education is important for everyone to understand the difficulty and risk of doing something that can create much greater opportunity in return so as a citizens , there will always be so much to learn and so much to know in life.
