Salvador Niebla is a Spanish drummer, producer, and composer. Since 1975 to 2023, in a wide musical facet, he participates in recording (more than 180 CDs) and collaborating with a multitude of artists.

He has represented Spain at the E.B.U (European Broadcasting Union) festivals, and has performed at numerous jazz festivals, among which we must highlight: Grenoble (France), Cologne (Germany), Copenhagen (Denmark), Pompeii (Italy), Voss (Norway), New Orleans (U.S.A.), Bratislava (Slovakia), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Cairo (Egypt), London (UK), etc.

In 1992 he collaborated as the official drummer at the Barcelona Olympic Games, at the opening ceremony, together with the composer Carlos Miranda for the “Athletes Parade” and together with Josep Pons in “Los tambores de Calanda”. At the closing ceremony, with Joan A. Amargós in “Planetarium”, for “Els Comediants”. At the 1992 Paralympic Games with the ballet "Fosc, Blanc i Colors".

Other[edit]

He formed his own group NATURAL ENERGY with which he recorded his first CD as leader “Azul”, in which in addition to playing drums he debuted as a composer and arranger. With musicians from Spain and Tunisia (1997).

Record World of permanence playing drums 27 hours (1998) for the development of a medical study on physical resistance in musicians with the High Performance Center (CAR) of Sant Cugat.

In the year 2000 he was an advisor for the founding of the magazine Bateria Total. He participates in the "Mediterránea" project (2001) for painting and music with his brother José Niebla in an itinerant exhibition through the cities of the Mediterranean.

Taller de Músics – (Barcelona) 1979-1980 Drum Teacher. From 1982 to 2008 he gave classes and masterclasses in Music Education Centers, Conservatories, Music Schools, etc.

Regional representative of the “DRUMMERS COLLECTIVE” of New York for Spain and Portugal during 1992 – 2012. Adjunct professor at the Superior Conservatory of the Liceo de Barcelona.

In 1999 he founded the Virtual Drummer School. The world's first virtual school dedicated to the study of drums and percussion. With professors such as: Ignacio Berroa, Alex Acuña, Peter Erskine, Horacio El Negro, Bill Bruford, Gregg Bissonette, Giovanni Hidalgo, Dave Weckl, Luis Conte, Dennis Chambers, David Garivaldi, Steve Smith etc.

In 2012 he founded the Profesores de Musica Online website. A class platform through videoconference unique in our country. With teachers like: Jorge Pardo, Juan Cerro, Miguel Angel Chastang, Chema Vilchez, Joan Albert Amargos, Max Sunyer, Angel Celada, etc.

In 2014 he founded the Didacting website. A tool for all schools in the country, so that they can hold classes with their teachers through a videoconference system.

In 2022 he founds We Learn Music. The most ambitious project of his career. All these years of experience on the Internet, he helps you develop a system that uses Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality. So that anyone interested in music can learn with a totally autonomous system.

He performs demonstrations and master classes throughout Spain, for: ZILDJIAN, PREMIER, REGALTIP, EVANS, AUDIO TECHNICA, ROLAND.
