Shyam Bharteey (born 10 June 1969) is an Indian politician, film producer, and director. He is the National President and Founder of the Gareeb Aadmi Party (GAP). Bharteey was born in Chandni Chowk, Delhi, to Late Shri Ram Avtar. GAP declared him as a party Candidate to 2024 Indian general election for Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency.

Early life and education[edit]

Bharteey pursued a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Political Science from the School of Open Learning, Delhi University.

Bharteey is actively involved in politics and serves as the National President of the Gareeb Aadmi Party. He has been declared as the party's candidate for the 2024 General Election from the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha Constituency.

Film career[edit]

Apart from his political endeavors, Bharteey is also involved in the film industry. He has worked as a film producer and director.

Personal life[edit]

Shyam Bharteey is married to Gayatri Devi since 1987, and the couple has two sons and one daughter.
