Louis & Luca and the Snow Machine (Norwegian: Solan og Ludvig - Jul i Flåklypa) is a Norwegian stop motion animated family comedy from 2013. It was directed by Rasmus A. Sivertsen, and written by Karsten Fullu based on the book Solan og Ludvigs jul by Harald Sommerin Simonnæs, which is based off the characters from Kjell Aukrust's universe.
This is the second of four movies in the Pinchcliffe series. The first, Flåklypa Grand Prix was released in 1975, with Jul i Flåklypa releasing in 2013, Herfra til Flåklypa released in 2015, and finally Månelyst i Flåklypa finishing the series in 2018.
It also got significantly good reviews from Norwegian critics. It received a dice roll six from Aftenposten, and a five from VG, Dagbladet, BT and Filmpolitiet.
Plot:[edit]
The main editor of the local newspaper promises the small town of Pinchcliffe that it will be a snowy winter, however when no snow arrives, he goes to the local mechanic, and one of the main characters of the movies, Reodor Felgen. Reodor Felgen makes a snow machine, however he does not let the editor use it, as he was not a very liked person by the locals.
Eventually as the plot thickens, the editor sneaks into Felgen's garage and steals the snow machine. He then preceeds to direct it directly towards the small town. It works flawlessly, and now they finally have snow. However it seems they have made a mistake, the snow machine won't turn off. People end up getting snowed inside their houses, and its a total chaos. One of our main characters, Ludvig manages to save the day at the end of the movie and turn off the snow machine.[1]
