Solmaz Naraqi, born on 13 September 1978, in Hamadan, Iran, is a distinguished Iranian poet, scholar, and esteemed member of the Iranian clergy society. She successfully completed her studies in Persian Language and Literature at Allameh Tabataba'i University. Additionally, she holds membership in the prestigious Association for Iranian Studies. Furthermore, Solmaz Naraqi has previously served as an instructor at the Society of Iranian Calligraphists in Tehran.

She excels at creating literary and musical material specifically tailored for children. Her compositions, both in terms of lyrics and melodies, are predominantly accompanied by the traditional Persian instrument, Setar. This instrument is deeply rooted in classical Persian music and is often utilized in local music theater productions aimed at children[1][2].

There are a pair of books available, namely Shakh-e Nabat (published in 2013 by Debayeh Publishing House) and Mirzadeh Eshghi (released in 2008 by Third Publishing House). Additionally, there are two musical books for children, namely Tati Tati (published in 2023 by Bazi and Andisheh Publications) and Shikarchi and Ducks (published in 2021 by Bazi and Andisheh Publications).

In addition, Solmaz Naraghi has published many articles for Farsi-language media, such as Ketab Hafteh, Hizbolnameh, Etemad Melli Newspaper, Baran Magazine, Heftad Va Haft Magazine, Zanan-e Emruz Magazine, etc., focusing on literature, visual arts, calligraphy, and women.

Music[edit]

She has additionally written the title track for the Mehmouni series (composed by Iraj Tahmasb), the closing credits song for two movies Shirin (composed by Abbas Kiarostami) and Nasseredin Shah and His 84 Wives (composed by Beth Peterson)[3]. Furthermore, she composed a song titled "Snow" for the album "Safid Barfi" by Abbas Kiarostami[4].

Exhibition[edit]

She has organized numerous solo and group exhibitions showcasing her calligraphy pieces at various galleries including Farmanfarma, House of Iranian Artists, and Azad Designers since 2013.
