The idea came to us at in August 2021 at Sturgis is South Dakota. We wanted to form a group that studied Virginia and natural history and enjoyed riding to historic and beautiful sites. In August 2022, the group was formed in Warrenton, VA as the Sons of Virginia Historic Society Riders. The original 6 members were all relatives that ranged in experience 18 years to new riders. The Sons of Virginia Historical Society Riders had their first official ride 29-31 May 2023, traveling to Harper’s Ferry, Antietam, Blackwater Falls, Seneca Falls, Port Republic and Skyline Drive.
