Draft:Sora Ventures

  • Comment: This has been resubmitted multiple times, with each submission showing no acceptable improvement in the sourcing. The last submission included no substantive changes at all, and included zero additional sources to address the concerns of past reivewers, particularly the detailed source analysis given by the last reviewer. Please don't waste a reviewer's time. Address the concerns before re-submitting, otherwise the next submission will result in this draft being rejected, not merely declined. If acceptable evidence of notability according to WP:CORP guidelines doesn't exist yet, then don't re-submit this for review until such evidence can be included. ~Anachronist (talk) 22:09, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
  • Comment: In order to establish notability, the topic needs to be discussed in a sufficient number of WP:SIRS-compliant sources. This draft cites four sources: abmedia (source 1), cryptoslate (source 2), blocktempo (source 3), and Asia Crypto Today (source 4). These sources are subject-specific sources and thus not ideal for showing that the subject would be notable outside its topic area. Thus, a sufficient number of WP:SIRS-compliant sources would be higher in this case, because if the subject is not discussed outside its topic area, then at least should the subject be broadly discussed in topic-specific sources. It should be obvious that Sora Ventures is a relevant subject for topic-specific sources. Four topic-specific sources is, in my opinion, not a sufficient number of topic-specific sources to establish any sort of notability. I would advise citing more sources that discuss the subject in broad detail.
A brief source analysis reveals that source 1 is not independet per WP:SIRS, because its author Jason Fang is a Sora Ventures managing partner. Source 2 (Refs 2 and 5) is not an independent source per WP:SIRS, as Sora Ventures is an investor in the source. Source 3 could qualify as WP:SIRS-compliant, but it cites various Sora-related parties and it could also be argued that it is thus not independent per WP:SIRS. Source 4 could be considered a WP:SIRS-compliant source, but it has no author information and reminds me of sponsored content.
So, we have just two sources that could be used to establish notability, but I have reasonable doubts regarding these two sources. Summing this up, there are no sources that can be used to establish notability. Please cite proper WP:SIRS-compliant sources. • Comment: See WP:NCRYPTO. Also, the first source (definition of venture capital) should be removed, as it makes no mention of the subject and the topic is already described by the wikilink. Greenman (talk) 20:02, 20 August 2023 (UTC)
