Sports Betting Dime (SBD) is an online sports betting site featuring news, analysis, data, trends and more for major sports in the U.S. The website and brand is owned and operated by XLMedia.

The majority of SBD’s coverage is focused on the NFL, NBA, MLB, College Football, College Basketball, and NHL, but Sports Betting Dime also offers coverage for golf, MMA, boxing, soccer, tennis, entertainment, politics, and other more worldly sports/events.

The website presents its users with the pertinent data, trends, expert analysis, sports betting tools, as well as proprietary metrics and formulas to help inform betting decisions.

Sports Betting Dime also produces regular content to its social media channels and YouTube channel. The SBD team has produced several podcasts in the past, including Dishin’ Dimes and the SBD Odds Pod.

History[edit]

SBD was founded in 2012 and started off as solely a sportsbook review site, aiming to steer bettors towards the safer, reputable, and more trustworthy sportsbook options, while cautioning users against fraudulent and untrustworthy options.

In 2013, the website started covering the odds for major sporting events and providing analysis and predictions.

In late 2017, Sports Betting Dime partnered with NBA Hall-of-Famer Gary Payton, who was providing the site with his insights and picks for both NBA and NFL. SBD would also go on to partner with Nick Mangold and Marshawn Lynch[1], all of whom provided the website with content and served as SBD brand ambassadors.

In March 2021, Sports Betting Dime was acquired by XLMedia for a total consideration of $26 million.[2] [3]

Shortly after, SBD began media partnerships with some major publishers, including Cleveland.com, MassLive.com and Newsweek[4], among others. Sports Betting Dime provides these media partners with sports betting content relevant to their audiences.

In October 2022, Sports Betting Dime partnered with Sportradar, where the data company would be SBD’s official sports data provider.[5]
