Count Stephan Heinrich von Everstein (10 April 1533) - (6 October 1613) Born at Quarkenburg Castle, he served as a diplomat for the Dukes of Pomerania as well as lord of Naugard and Massow and district administrator there.
Family[edit]
Stephan Heinrich von Everstein was a son of Count Georg von Everstein (1481 - 1553) and his wife, Walpurgis née [2]Countess Schlick (1500 -1575). On 10 August, 1577 in Frauenberg, he married the widow of Count Johann Bernhard von Everstein, Countess Margarethe von Dietz (1544 - 1608), a daughter of Landgrave Philip I of Hesse (1509 - 1567) from his second marriage to Margarethe von der Saale. His wife left him three children
Career[edit]
He studied first at Wittenberg, later also in Italy, France, and England. He then found a place of work at the Imperial Chamber Court and was then in service of Duke Louis of Württemburg and Archbishop Gebhard of Cologne. In 1593 he returned to Pomerania and entered the service of the Duke. In 1603 he became district administrator. He died at Quarkenburg Castle.
