Stephen H. Cutcliffe is a professor at Lehigh University and an author. He is Lehigh University's Director of the Science, Technology and Society Program and has researched the history of technology its relationship to society. He has written seven books including In Context: History and the History of Technology; Essays in Honor of Melvin Kranzberg, Technology and American History and Ideas, Machines, and Values: An Introduction to Science, Technology and Society Studies. He has edited the Science, Technology, and Society Curriculum Development Newsletter since 1979.[1]

He did his undergraduate studies as Bates College in Maine and received an M.A. an Ph.D. from Lehigh.[2]
