About[edit]

SuperSKU is a free and open source (FOSS) Point of Sale [POS] Software developed by Three Avocados Development. The Software was initially released on January 16, 2024, but started its development on September 3rd, 2023.[citation needed] It is scripted in Python (programming language). The software uses the MIT License. SuperSKU uses the MIT License, and is available in English, And its current [stable] Release is v1.3. It is available in 1 Language, English, and has a size of 129 KB. It currently uses the Tkinter python module to implement a GUI, Specifically the Tk GUI Toolkit.

Known Issues[edit]

Unusable GUI[edit]

The software has been deemed Incompatible with Linux distributions that are using Wayland Desktop Protocol, due to a issue with the GUI toolkit the software is using (Tkinter). The developer can not fix this issue, and as of April 19th, 2024, This has not been fixed.

Currently Missing features[edit]

Currently missing features include:

  • Auto-Update
  • Card reader support
  • Receipt printer support

As of 2/5/2024, The team [Three Avocados Development] is consisted of only one member, Matt Jenkins / cooldudeseven7. He also is hosting the repository.

April 19, 2024 - Reverted back to MIT License, released version 1.3

March 20th, 2024 - Changed license to custom license based on MIT license

March 16th, 2024 - v1.2 released

March 9th, 2024 - Logo is changed, and v1.1 is released, Ditching "Revisions"

January 16th, 2024 - Software is released for the first time [1.0 Revision 0]

January 14th, 2024 - The License is changed from the MIT License to the GNU GPL v3+

January 6th, 2024 - The softwares website is deployed, on Codeberg Pages, using HTML

January 1st, 2024 - The software is migrated from GitHub to Codeberg.
