Systemair[edit]

Systemair is a Swedish manufacturing company specialising in a wide range of ventilation products.[1], including air handling units, fans, air distribution products, air conditioning products, heaters, and air curtains for both comfort and safety ventilation.[2]

Founded in 1974, the company has a presence across 51 countries in Europe, North America, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and Africa, and exports to more than 135 countries. The Company had sales of SEK 12.1 billion in the 2022/23 financial year and today employs approximately 6,600 people[3]. Systemair has 26 production facilities in 18 countries. The 3 main distribution centres are located in Sweden, Germany and Malaysia. The company's presence extends to technical centres in 15 countries, employing over 200 engineers. Systemair has well-established operations in growth markets. The Group's products are marketed under the Systemair, Frico, Fantech and Menerga brands. Systemair shares have been quoted on the Nasdaq OMX Nordic Exchange in Stockholm since October 2007, and are today traded on the Large Cap List.[4]

Systemair is a company that focuses on enhancing indoor climates using energy-efficient and sustainable products aimed at reducing carbon dioxide emissions[5]. The organisation is guided by the business philosophy encapsulated in the motto "The straight way forward." This philosophy serves as a foundation for developing comprehensive solutions[6] designed to meet the evolving demands[7] of the construction industry effectively.

The company was founded in 1974 as LHG kanalfläkt[8]. Systemair's first product was a fan with round connections that was installed directly in the duct system[9] (duct fan) which simplified the installation considerably. Production began in Skinnskatteberg and at the time, more than 50% of production was exported to Norway. The first sales subsidiary, LHG Kanavapuhallin, was established in Finland.

In 2015/16, Roland Kasper was appointed as new CEO of Systemair AB[10]. At the Annual General Meeting (AGM), Gerald Engström was elected as new Chairman of the Board[11].The Swedish business was divided into two companies. The company Systemair AB became a streamlined holding company with corporate staff and group functions. The newly formed company Systemair Sverige AB conducts production and sales operations in Sweden. Systemair opened their renovated and expanded factory in Slovakia, where Systemair manufacture air distribution products and fire dampers.[12]

Systemair products and solutions are marketed under the Systemair, Frico, Fantech and Menerga brands with Systemair as the main brand. The Group comprises about 90 companies[13].

The solutions tailored to meet the requirements of various application sectors, encompassing Commercial, Residential, Hospitality, Healthcare, Education, Industrial, Infrastructure, and Data Centre environments[14]

Production facilities[edit]

Systemair’s owned facilities extend to a total area of 330,000 square metres[15] and have a total book value of SEK 1.5 billion. Ownership means being able to ensure sustainable and efficient production.
