T Junction 红绿灯 is a Singaporean duo comprising of Alina Mak 麦菽娟 and Lim Jia Rui 林佳蕊. The duo was one of the Top three finalists for 'Battle of the Buskers (Chinese: 游走的歌王), a singing reality competition organized by Mediacorp Channel 8 .[1]
Biography[edit]
Alina and Jia Rui first met in a mandopop group Voices during their university days at the National University of Singapore.[2] They performed for various gigs during their university days under the name J2A.
The name 红绿灯 originated from a post-holiday look where Alina highlighted her hair red and Jia Rui dyed her hair green.[3]
Shortly post-graduation, the duo started busking officially in November 2017.[4]
Alina is a songwriter and has wrote songs for artistes such as Jocie Guo and 郭曉東. Jia Rui is a nurse.
Battle of the Buskers[edit]
In 2023, T Junction took part in Mediacorp's Battle of the Buskers reality competition and emerged as one of the Top 3 finalists.[5]
During the semi-finals held at Ion Orchard, their performance was well-received by judge Lee Si Song.[6]
