Tenzing Norgay Trainor (born 4 September 2001) is an American actor who is the grandson of Tenzing Norgay.[1][2] He has appeared in TV shows including Good Luck Charlie, The Jadagrace Show, and Stevie TV. He also appeared in feature films Bits and Pieces and The Lost Medallion: The Adventures of Billy Stone. In 2012, he landed a major role as Parker Rooney on the Disney Channel television show Liv and Maddie.[3]

Career[edit]

Tenzing Norgay Trainor was born on September 4, 2001, to Clark Tulley Trainor and Deki Tenzing Norgay. He's the eldest of three siblings[4] and played football since the age of six.[5] After attending an acting camp, he made his debut in the TV series Stevie TV in 2012.[4] In the same year, he executed the role of Parker in the pilot of Bits and Pieces. The following year, Bits and Pieces was renamed Liv and Maddie[6] and ran to 2017. Trainor played the recurring role of Parker Rooney, Liv and Maddie's youngest brother. The four-season series was Trainor's breakthrough.[4] Also in 2013, he made a minor appearance in the film The Lost Medallion: The Adventures of Billy Stone and right afterwards, he provided the voice of Buddha the dog on Super Buddies. In 2014, he made a guest appearance as Parker Rooney in the Jessie crossover episode "Jessie's Aloha Holidays with Parker and Joey", along with Joey Bragg as Joey Rooney.

In 2019, Trainor starred in the short comedy film Clueless, for which he won an Independent Shorts Award as Best Child/Young Actor.[7] In the animated feature film Abominable, he voiced the character of Jin who, similar to Tenzing Norgay, climbs Mount Everest to bring back a Yeti to his family.[8] He reprised his role in the animated series Abominable and the Invisible City.[9] In 2023, he starred in the single eight-episode series of Freeridge.[10]
