History[edit]
Knockouts World Tag Team Champions (2023–present)[edit]
Through December 2022, Taylor Wilde's character transformed into a darker edge of witchcraft.[2] On the February 9, 2023, episode of Impact!, Wilde turned heel for the first time in her career, as she refused to team with Killer Kelly as the two challenged the Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Champions The Death Dollz (Rosemary and Taya Valkyrie) in a non-title match.[3] On the March 9 episode of Impact!, KiLynn King attacked Kelly, aligning herself with Wilde as the two named their team "The Coven".[4] On the March 16 episode of Impact!, The Coven defeated the Death Dollz to win the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship.[1] On April 16, at Rebellion, The Coven had their first successful title defense against Jessicka and Rosemary.[5] On the April 27 episode of Impact!, Wilde was accompanied by King into the main event where she challenged Deonna Purrazzo for the Impact Knockouts World Championship, but was unsuccessful.[6] Post-match, King and Wilde attacked Purrazzo before being saved by Jordynne Grace.[6] This led into a tag team match in the following week on Impact!, where The Coven successfully defended their title against Grace and Purrazzo.[7]
On July 15, at Slammiversary, The Coven lost their title to Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich, ending their reign at 139 days.[8] On August 27, at Emergence, The Coven were set to participate in a four-way tag team match for the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship, however, Wilde was attacked during the pre-show.[9] Jody Threat would later replace Wilde in the match, where MK Ultra retained their titles.[9] On The October 12 episode of Impact!, King admitted to be the one who attacked Wilde with a tire iron, as she felt that Wilde became a deadweight after losing their tag titles.[10]
