The Woman in Chains is a 1923 silent film. It was adapted from the short story "The Madonna in Chains" by Edward Owings Towne and was directed by William P. Burt. It is a 7-reel film.[1]

The film was originally to be titled Madonna in Chains but there were reportedly too many movies with Madonna in the title. It was the first release for Amalgamated Exchanged of America.[2]
