Draft:Thomas Ball (activist)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thomas Ball was an American father's rights activist. He set himself on fire to protest what he thought was unfair treatment from a legal system following a "Second Set of Books" representing policies and procedures distinct from official laws.[1]. Before his death, he sent a document to the local town newspaper explaining his reasons including court cases he had won and lost in his battle to regain visitation rights to his children[2]. He is listed on Wikipedia's list of political self immolations[3]
