Thomas W. Abney was a Confederste Army soldier and a White League organizer.

He took over command of Company B, Marks Guards.[1]

After the war he filed a claim for the seizure of his cotton.[2]

He was a founding father of Coushatta and became a wealthy merchant as co-owner of a store.[3]
