Tokyo Machine (born in May 11 1995) is a Japanese-American DJ and record producer. He debuted on other labels such as Monstercat, NCS, and more. He owns the record label CHOMPO in 2023 and 2024.

Career[edit]

Tokyo Machine is a moniker with a unique brand of EDM that combines endearing Japan-infused chiptune sounds with fierce, heavy basslines. He is always seen with his eyewear and his signature mask on.

Tokyo Machine has quickly grown to become one of the most recognizable personas in dance music, DJing on some of the scene’s most coveted stages and garnering millions upon millions of streams. He mysteriously emerged onto the scene in July of 2016 with the chiptune-infused bass house slapper "Party", which increased the attention of Monstercat fanatics and blogs alike. The producer quickly followed up on the success of "Party" with equally wild singles throughout the remainder of the year, including the viral breakbeat slammer "Fight".

His music has won him millions of plays, featurings in video games and TV, thousands of die hard fans all over the earth and the support from the likes of Tiësto, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Dillon Francis, Afrojack, Slushii, Herobust and more. Since his debut show at EDC in Las Vegas in 2017, Tokyo Machine has established himself as a chiptune stage-beast, who alongside his little Tokimon companions steals the show on every continent.

2018 also saw Tokyo Machine make his debut at the world’s largest EDM festival, Tomorrowland. He also played a homecoming show in Japan and embarked on a mini-tour in China that same year, in extension to producing another song for Rocket League and having “Hype” featured in Just Shapes & Beats. And his songs Epic, Play, and Moshi (with Pegboard Nerds) are much even popular for the gaming platform Roblox.

As of 2023, he is the only pre Monstercat Uncaged and Monstercat Instinct artist to have landed a spot on the Best Of compilation every year since his debut.

From his debut single "PARTY" to his latest single right now, all of his song titles are always capitalized. The only exception to this is Last Summer and its remix package. He also co-produced Saxsquatch's singles Madness and Northern Lights.

He has animal companions that always appear in his cover art. He calls them 'Tokimon', a reference to Pokémon.
