Turboprop Flight Simulator, often shortened to TFS or Turboprop FS, is an amateur flight simulation game created by Romanian developer AXgamesoft. It was released on 19 April 2017 for Android and later released on 14 March 2018 for iOS.
History[edit]
Turboprop FS's developer, AXgamesoft, or Alexandru Cristian Petre, often shortened to just Alex, was once a full-time developer working as a freelancer for FOG.com, making several games for the company, the most notable of which is War Plane Simulator, which shares many of the same assets and have essentially the same graphical style and menu layout due to Alex working on both games.
Alex left FOG.com sometime in 2016 after releasing War Plane Simulator and presumably began working on his next mobile game, which was later revealed to be Turboprop Flight Simulator. It would be his first and, as of 26 September 2023, only game title as an independent developer.
As development began drawing to a close in early 2017, Alex created a YouTube channel simply titled AXgamesoft and shortly thereafter posted a trailer for TFS on 17 April 2017 to tease his upcoming game, Turboprop Flight Simulator, which released two days after the trailer was posted.
Alex continues to run the channel to this day, posting updates about the game's development in the channel's Community tab. However, as of 10 December 2023, the trailer continues to be the only video ever posted on the AXgamesoft YouTube channel.[1]
Airplanes[edit]
As of version 1.30.2, Turboprop Flight Simulator has 12 aircraft.[2]
The aircraft in the game has include the C-130, HC-130, HC-400, PV-40, XV-40, and MC-400.
Gameplay[edit]
Turboprop Flight Simulator has three main game modes: Free-flight, missions, and Aircraft Viewer.
The free-flight mode allows you to fly anywhere on the game's map with all 12 aircraft. The missions mode allows you to perform missions, with there being 4 tutorial missions and 40 "normal" missions. The Aircraft Viewer allows you to view all 12 aircraft and their functions.
