Turismo are an English indie rock band from Kingston upon Hull, UK. Formed in 2002 from the ashes of the Hull band Wincolmlee. Turismo's initial lineup consisted of Paul Baggott (guitar and vocals), James Symonds (Bass), Jon Prest (lead guitar), Mike Lines (Guitar and Vocals) and Richard Hobson (Drums and Percussion). In their pomp Turismo were widely regarded as one of the next potential acts from the city to break in to the mainstream joining fellow Hullisians, The Paddingtons, in the brief resurgence of indie rock music in the 2000's.[1]

In 2005 Turismo were selected to play the Lee Sounds Unsigned Stage by the Raw Talent team from BBC Radio Humberside at that year's Leeds Festival.[2]

Turismo have recorded 2 studio albums, 1 EP and released 2 singles to date.

  • 2005 - Stand It Alone (No known copied exist)
  • 2020 - La-Dee-Dah (cover of a Jake Thackray song) and used as the theme song to "Meet the Richardsons" on Dave[3]
