The Turkic Council of Elders.[1][2][3][4][5] (an elder refers as(Aqsaqal or aksakal) in Northwestern Turkic languages) serves as an esteemed advisory body within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS)[6][7][8]. Hero-Arkadag[9] emphasized the significant role of the Council of Elders in fostering unity among the Turkic people through the preservation and celebration of our shared rich historical heritage, traditions, and customs, as well as the moral principles cultivated over centuries. The Council of Elders is poised to assume a vital role within OTS operations, particularly in public, social-humanitarian, and cultural spheres. It will play a pivotal role in advancing the implementation of decisions and agreements made at the state level.

History[edit]

It was established in 2010 after the re-organization of OTS[10].

Purpose[edit]

Turkic Council of Elders helps to make friendships between Turkic Sates stronger and encourages working together[11][12][13]
