Tweek Tweak[1] is a fictional character and a recurring character in the adult comedy South Park. He is known for his hyperactivity, paranoia, and anxiety which is caused by the result of him drinking coffee mixed with methamphetamine.[2][3] Tweek often screams words such as "gah" and "too much pressure".[4]
Role in South Park[edit]
Tweek attends South Park Elementary as part of Mr. Garrison's class. During the show's first 58 episodes, Tweek and the other students were in the third grade before going to the fourth grade around season 4. His role took a huge turn in the episode Professor Chaos, when he was announced as Kenny McCormick's new replacement during the latter's "permanent" death, replacing the role that Butters Stotch previously had.[5] He would make several appearances with Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, and Eric Cartman, before leaving around the time Kenny had revived. He has been depicted as being in Craig's gang, with openly gay Tweek dating Craig Tucker ever since the episode Tweek x Craig.[6]
Character[edit]
Appearance[edit]
Tweek has messy blond hair and blue eyes. He is typically seen wearing a navy-green coat with blue pants. In his debut episode "Gnomes", Tweek's appearance differed slightly from his later portrayals. His coat collar was black instead of green, he wore an undershirt, and his jeans were a darker shade of blue.
Personality and traits[edit]
Tweek is often jittery and twitchy. He mainly acts petrified and scared which is notable in episodes such as Put It Down.[7][8] His name comes from the word "tweaker", which means a methamphetamine consumer, owing to his drinking coffee mixed with meth.[9]
