The Commons building on the UBCO campus

The Commons is a multipurpose building located on the UBC Okanagan campus (commonly known as UBCO), a campus of theUniversity of British Columbia that is situated in the Okanagan Valley near Kelowna, British Columbia.[1] The campus is located on the traditional and unceded territory of the Syilx people.[1] The University is home to an astounding 11,562 undergraduate and graduate students, studying an assortment of 81 programs.[2] Established in 2005, the Kelowna campus has since grown in size with the addition of newer educational buildings such as the Commons[1], which was built in 2018 and officially opened on January 2nd, 2019.[3]

History[edit]
