Urganciyan (Armenian: Ուրղանցիյանը), is a Armenian surname originating from the Turkish word 'Urganci', meaning Tether. In Turkish Urganci (urgan with the suffix -ci) means one who works with tether. Urganciyan is the Armenized version of Urgancıoğlu written in Latin script.
