William Sewell Thorington (July 30, 1847 – January 24, 1915) was a justice of the Supreme Court of Alabama in 1892.

In April 1892, he was appointed by Governor Thomas G. Jones to a seat on the Supreme Court of Alabama vacated by the death of David Clopton. He chose not to run for reelection to the seat, serving only until December of that year.
