William Dwight Beard (October 25, 1835 – December 7, 1910) was a justice of the Tennessee Supreme Court in 1890, and again from 1894 to 1910.

appointed 1890, vice William C. Folkes; served until next biennial election, when defeated by Benjamin J. Lea; elected 1894, 1902, and 1910; chief justice, 1902 to 1910;[1] born in Princeton, Kentucky; served as chancellor at Memphis, 1891 to 1894; served as assistant adjunct general on staff of Gen. Joe Shelby in Confederate Army[2]
