Cast[edit]

Production[edit]

A remake of the 1975 film from Walt Disney Pictures was first mentioned as being in development for Disney+ in March 2021.[1] In September, Gary Marsh left his position as Chief Creative Officer for Disney Branded Television to launch his own production company, joining Witch Mountain as an executive producer.[2] In December 2022, Disney+ greenlit a pilot for the series, with Bryce Dallas Howard, Isabel Gravitt, Levi Miller, Bianca “b” Norwood and Jackson Kelly cast in the series. Augustine Frizzell will direct the pilot.[3]

Filming began by December 2022, with production occurring in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario.[4][5]
