World Shiology Forum[edit]
Of the 17 SDGs, at least 13 are related to "eat and food" issues.[2] WSF focused on food and eating methodology[3]. Its work was mainly presented in outcome documents, such as The Awaji Island Declaration, and Hainan Initiative. The Awaji Island Declaration provided World Health Dietary Guide to the international community. [4]Hainan Initiative called for a complete understanding of "eat and food" issues, and a holistic approach so as to address food crisis. [3]
Over the past 7 years, WSF held 4 meetings in China, Japan and Turkey respectively, becoming increasingly influential. The 4th World Shiology Forum held in 2023 attracted more than 1,000 delegates from 43 countries. [3]

Since the founding of WSF in 2017, four meetings have been held in China, Japan and Turkey.
The 1st World Shiology Forum (The Belt and Road Eatology Forum)[edit]
The 1st WSF was held on May 21–24, 2017, in Beijing China. Its topic is Food Production and Utilization. The WSF issued The List of Food Ingeredients Along The Belt and Road, including food ingredients from 86 countries along The Belt and Road. It issued Yiyin Initiative as well.[5]
The 2nd World Shiology Forum (Beijing World Eatology Forum)[edit]
The 2nd WSF was held on May 20–22, 2018, in Beijing China. Its topic is The Belt and Road, Food Leads the Way. The forum issued Consensus on Food Leads the Way.[6]
The 3rd World Shiology Forum (Osaka G20 World Eatology Forum)[edit]
The 3rd WSF was held on June 24–26, 2019, in Awaji Island, Japan. It is the first WSF held outside of China. Its topic is SDGs and Food Issues. The Awaji Island Declaration was issued.[7]
Turkey Forum of the 3rd World Eatology Forum[edit]
The symposium hosted by Istanbul Medipol University, was held on December 18–19, 2020 online.[8]Its topic is With A Multidisciplinary Approach Holistically Solve Food Issues. As an outcome, Istanbul Declaration of Eatology was issued.[9]
