The World Trade Center "Peace On Earth" sculpture was a sculpture that was erected in 1998.[1]

Description[edit]

The sculpture was located in the plaza between the two towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. It spelled out the expression "PEACE ON EARTH" in a bold, sans serif font.

History[edit]

The sculpture was installed in 1998 to celebrate the holiday season. It remained for the next several years until it was damaged in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. It was never recovered from the rubble and was presumed destroyed.
