Yohanes Asmare (born 29 March 2006) is an Ethiopian middle distance and cross country runner.^[1]

Career[edit]

Asmare won the 1500m race at the Ethiopian under-18 championships in Asella in March 2022.^[2]

In October 2023, he won the men's race at the Northern Ireland International Cross Country event in Belfast finishing ahead of home runner Nick Griggs and Spaniard Ilias Fifa.^[3]

He set a new personal best over a mile indoors in Boston, Massachusetts in February 2024.
