Yuta Jinguji is a Japanese male idol, born in Chiba-ken. He joined in Johnny & Associates on October 30th, 2010. He was a former member of the boy band "King & Prince", which debuted on May 23, 2018. Yuta Jinguji left "King & Prince" and Johnny & Associates on May 22, 2023. Then he joined TOBE on July 7, 2023, and debuted as a member of "Number_i" on January 1, 2024.

Career[edit]

On Octorber 30, 2010, Yuta Jinguji joined Johnny & Associates on his 13th birthday, starting his trainee career in Tokyo. On May 5, 2014, Yuta Jinguji, Marius Yo and Genki Iwahashi formed a group by the name of "Sexy Boyz".

On June 5, 2015, Yuta Jinguji, Sho Hirano, Ren Nagase, Kaito Takahashi, Genki Iwahashi and Yuta Kishi became a group of "Mr.King vs Mr.Prince" (Mr.Prince included Yuta Jinguji, Genki Iwahashi and Yuta Kishi). The boy band was assigned as the official cheering squad for "SUMMER STATION", the Roppongi Hills summer festival of TV Asahi Corporation.

On August 20, 2015, "Mr.King vs Mr.Prince" separated as two groups to continure their Johnny's Jr. career. Before becoming a member of "King & Prince", Yuta Jinguji, Genki Iwahashi and Yuta Kishi performed by the group name of "Prince".

On May 23, 2018, two groups combined and debuted as members of the six-person boy band, "King & Prince".

On November 4, 2022, Johnny & Associates declared that Yuta Jinguji and Sho Hirano were going to leave "King & Prince" and the company on May 22, 2023, and Yuta Kishi would leave "King & Prince" on the same day but leave the company in fall in the same year.[1]

Yuta Jinguji left "King & Prince" and the company on May 22, 2023. He then joined TOBE on July 7, 2023.

On Octorber 15, 2023, Yuta Kishi declared that he joined TOBE. Meanwhile, he, Jinguji Yuta and Sho Hirano declared that they formed a trio boy band of "Number_i". The name "Number_i" proposed by Yuta Kishi and agreed by the other two, carries a profound meaning, representing the essence of ‘Only One’ and ‘Love.’ 'I' means the only one, and the prounounciation of 'i' is the same of ‘Love’ in Japanese.[2] [3]

"Number_i" debuted with the single "GOAT"on January 1, 2024.[4]
