Emiru (born January 3, 1998) is an American Twitch streamer and cosplayer. She is primarily known for streaming League of Legends and her cosplays on her Twitch channel, where she has garnered more than 1,100,000 followers as of January 15, 2023. She is a co-owner of and a content creator for the gaming organization One True King.[2]

Career[edit]

Emiru started streaming on Twitch in November 2016 while she was still in high school, playing League of Legends. She later became known for this along with her cosplays.[3][4] She credits her friend for suggesting her to start streaming her League of Legends gameplay on Twitch emphasizing the potential for large donations.[5]

On August 28, 2020, it was announced that Emiru had joined the esports organization Cloud9 as a content creator.[6][7]

On January 2, 2022, it was announced that Emiru had joined gaming organization One True King as a content creator, resulting in the end of her contract with Cloud9.[2][8] After her signing with One True King, she started to switch her content from League of Legends to variety.[9] On January 31, 2023, Emiru was announced as a new co-owner of the organization.[10][11]

On August 7, 2022, Emiru reached one million followers on Twitch.[12]

On January 31, 2023, it was announced that Emiru would be hosting a new weekly podcast entitled Steak & Eggs Podcast along with fellow One True King members Asmongold and Tectone, with Episode 1 released on February 17, 2023.[13][14]

Emiru is represented by agency Ader Gaming.[15]

Personal life[edit]

Emiru was born in Wichita, Kansas,[16] on January 3, 1998.[16][17] She is of Chinese and German descent.[18] She moved to Austin, Texas, in October 2021 and currently lives in a house with fellow Twitch streamers Mizkif, Russel, and Simply.[19][12]
