Ergon Theatre

Ergon Theatre is a Climate Theatre company based in Manchester, UK.[1] Their debut show The Wicked Problem[2] premiered at Contact Theatre in November 2021 during COP26 and was a part of Julie's Bicycle's Season for Change.[3] In 2022, Narc Magazine labelled Ergon Theatre One of the UK’s leading climate theatre companies.[4]

Ergon Theatre was nominated and shortlisted as finalists at the 2022 Manchester Culture Awards for Promotion of Environmental Sustainability.[5] The company have been members of the Greater Manchester Arts and Sustainability Team (GMAST) since 2020.[6]

The Ergon Theatre company founders are Robin Lyons, Noé Sébert, Sam Black and Catt Belcher.[7] To date, the company has worked with organisations including Contact Theatre,[8] The Lowry,[9] HOME (Manchester),[10] Julie's Bicycle,[3] RFK Human Rights,[11] Manchester International Festival,[12] ARC Stockton,[13] Universities UK,[14] M6 Theatre,[15] Lancaster Arts,[16] Reform Radio, NERC, Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester Fashion Movement.[17]
