Description
English: Arms of Henry Herbert, 1st Earl of Carnarvon (1741-1811), one of six escutcheons above the effigy of his great-great grandson Hon. Aubrey Herbert (1880-1923), of Pixton Park, Somerset, second son of the 4th Earl. The arms show Herbert of four quarters:

1: Herbert
2: Talbot
3: de Vere
4: Sawyer of Highclere: Azure, a fess chequy sable and or between three sea-pies (proper?) (sea pies (birds) are akin to lapwings)

and impale Wyndham: Azure, a chevron between three lion's heads erased or, for his wife Lady Elizabeth Wyndham, a daughter of Charles Wyndham, 2nd Earl of Egremont.
