Nederlands: Dia 'Tekst die het vlagincident herdenkt bij Hotel Majapahit, het voormalige Oranje Hotel' Op deze foto is het Hotel Majapahit in Surabaya te zien, het voormalige Oranje Hotel, dat tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog was omgedoopt in Yamato Hotel. Hier - op het dak van het hotel - vond op 19 september 1945 het vlagincident plaats, waarbij de blauwe band van de Nederlandse driekleur werd afgescheurd en zo alleen het rood en wit van de Indonesische vlag overbleef. Het is een belangrijke gebeurtenis in de geschiedenis van Surabaya, de stad die in Indonesië bekend staat als 'Heldenstad' vanwege haar rol in de Indonesische Onafhankelijkheidsstrijd. Bahasa Indonesia: 'Teks Peringatan Peristiwa Bendera di Hotel Majapahit, Bekas Hotel Oranye' Foto ini memperlihatkan Hotel Majapahit di Surabaya, bekas Hotel Oranye, yang berganti nama menjadi Hotel Yamato selama Perang Dunia II. Di sini - di atap hotel - peristiwa perobekkan bendera terjadi pada tanggal 19 September 1945. Pada peristiwa tersebut, warna biru dari bendera Belanda dirobek dan hanya menyisakan warna merah putih (bendera Indonesia). Ini adalah peristiwa penting dalam sejarah Surabaya, kota yang dikenal di Indonesia sebagai 'Kota Pahlawan' karena perannya dalam Perjuangan Kemerdekaan Indonesia.
