Description
English: In a vote of 284-149, the House passed the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2019. It would increase discretionary spending caps for fiscal years 2020 and 2021 to prevent sequester cuts, adding nearly $324 billion over two years. It would also suspend the public debt limit for two years through July 31, 2021. Lawmakers also passed H.R. 549, the Venezuela Temporary Protected Status (TPS) Act of 2019. which extends TPS to Venezuelan immigrants for 18 months, allowing individuals to remain in the U.S. because of the political crisis in that country.
