Summary

Description
English: This image shows the Tesuque Formation at its type area, Tesuque, New Mexico. This is the Nambe Member of the formation. The Tesuque Formation is rift fill sediments of the Rio Grande Rift and is about 25 to 12 million years old. Subsequent erosion of the formation has produced the badlands of the Espanola Basin north of Santa Fe.
