I own this image of Hardeen and Houdini on this page. I gave permission for its use to the public radio station that is credited (and they credited me on the orignal story). I would like this delated, or at least credit given to "John Cox Collection - www.wildabouthoudini.com." Thank you. --Zencato (talk) 02:23, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, maybe I can't claim this as a technical violation of copyright as I'm not the author. But I own the original photo and grant permission for it's use. If you click the link where the photo is sourced you'll see the website credits it a "Courtesy of John Cox." It was not taken from a public domain source. It was taken from a website that asked special permission to use it with credit. It really hurts the uniqueness and value of this photo for Wikipedia to snatch it (from a copyrighted website, btw) and post it up as public domain. It also seems unfair to me. Hope you see my point. There are many, many public domain photos of Houdini and Hardeen. I'm happy to send one as a replacement. --Zencato (talk) 13:53, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I see you've added a credit to me. Thank you for that. But I think I would prefer to have the photo removed. Again, I will provide a public domain replacement if you like.
