Satinderjeet Brar , also known as Goldy Brar[1] is a Canada-based gangster. He was born in Muktsar Village Gulabewala in Punjab, India and After Moved To Faridkot, Village Burj Hari Ke in Punjab, India. Brar is wanted in connection with a number of serious crimes, including murder, attempted murder, and drug trafficking by Indian authorities. He was associated with Lawrence Bishnoi, another gangster of Punjabi origin who is currently incarcerated in Tihar Jail, Delhi. Brar has been named among the top 25 most wanted fugitives by Canada's BOLO program.[2] National investigation agency (NIA) report revealed Bishnoi Gang and Brar’s link to Pro-Khalistan outfits.[3]

Criminal career[edit]

In May 2022, a Faridpur court had issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against him for killing District Youth Congress President, Gurlal Singh Pehalwan.[4] After that, on 29 May 2022, he allegedly killed an Indian singer and politician Sidhu Moose Wala, according to a Facebook post sent by Brar taking responsibility for the shooting.[5]

Brar is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which is one of the most notorious criminal gangs in Punjab. The gang is known for its involvement in a number of high-profile crimes, including the murder of several high-ranking police officials.[2]

Brar is currently on the run from the Indian and Canadian authorities.

The Indian government has issued a Red Corner Notice against him, which means that he can be arrested and extradited from any country that is a member of Interpol.[6][7] Brar is accused of conspiring with others to acquire and supply illegal firearms, and using those firearms to commit murder and attempt murder.[6]

India's Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) designated Goldy Brar, alleged mastermind behind singer Sidhu Moosewala's murder, a terrorist under UAPA. The MHA cited his association with Babbar Khalsa International (a listed terrorist organization), involvement in killings, cross-border activities, arms smuggling, and threatening calls. This move underscores Brar's perceived threat to national security.[8]

Brar has been named among the top 25 most wanted fugitives by the BOLO, which has offered a reward of $50,000 for information leading to Goldy Brar’s arrest.[2]
