On 28 November 2022, Jusuf sued President Joko Widodo and Minister of Internal Affairs, Tito Karnavian, at the State Administrative Court due to considered Joko Widodo's actions as the first defendant to issue regulations implementing the appointment of acting regional heads as an unlawful act by government officials.[1][6][7][2] She then asked the Jakarta State Administrative Court to declare that the government actions carried out by Jokowi and Tito by appointing and inaugurating 88 acting regional heads during the period from 12 May 2022 until 25 November 2022 contained elements of abuse of power because they were carried out without first issuing implementing regulations and considers the action to be an unlawful act.[6][7][2] Jusuf then asked the Jakarta State Administrative Court to order Joko Widodo to issue implementing regulations as a follow-up to the implementation of Article 201 paragraphs (9), (10), and (11) of Law 10/2016 as mandated by the provisions of Article 205 C of Law 10/2016 jo Constitutional Court Decision Number: 67/PUU-XIX/2021 jo Constitutional Court Decision Number: 15/PUU-XX/2022.[6] She also requested that the Jakarta State Administrative Court declare the actions of Joko Widodo and Karnavian in appointing and inaugurating 88 acting officers as invalid.[6]

Controversy[edit]

In 2018, Hatta wrote criticism on her social media against politicians in Indonesia due to always bringing and identifying themself as her grandfather, Muhammad Hatta, at every political event.[4] She added that the politicians identified with Hatta did not necessarily know him well.[4] The criticism then became popular on social media and Jusuf then received both praise and blasphemy due to be considered impolite in conveying her criticism.[4]
