Hashaka Kabahweza Florence is a Ugandan politician. She was the woman member in the 8th Parliament of Uganda for Kamwenge District.[1] She affiliated to the National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Biography[edit]

She was the woman member in the 8th Parliament of Uganda for Kamwenge District.[2] She lost to Nshaija Dorothy Kabaraitsya in the 2011 Uganda general elections as the woman representative in the 9th parliament of Uganda Kamwenge District. She was an aspirant woman member of parliament in the 2021 Uganda general election with 4,761 votes and she lost to Sylvia Bahereira by 25,453 votes.[3][4] Kabahweza Florence was a board Member for the Uganda Railways Corporation.[5][6]

Despite her performance in the primaries, Hashaka Kabahweza encountered difficulties in the general elections. She and her team raised allegations of voter bribery during the election process. According to them, the number of votes declared by the NRM District registrar, Asuman Mugisha, did not match the figures on the declaration forms signed by her agents. This discrepancy raised concerns about the election's integrity.[4]
