Missing pages
When I signed on a few minutes ago, there were 56 pages in my book. When I tried to add another page, there were suddenly and inexplicably 0 pages. Any idea where they went? I've tried signing out and back in again, I've tried finding my book on the list of wikibooks and trying to open that - it is now empty, and trying to access my book from another browser. Nothing works. I'm not very inclined to make another big list like that just to have it disappear without notice. Wikibooks is a really great idea - if it would work. Possible additions to the book feature
I really like the book feature, it's coming along really nicely! Is it possible to have the .pdf generator include a table of contents with page numbers? Also, it would be cool it there was an option to force a new page for the beginning of each article.
195.29.161.70 (talk) 14:09, 13 August 2010 (UTC) It would be really nice to support formats other than PDF. First one that would be useful would be EPUB which would enable easier reading on e-book devices.
I think that, if it were possible, an option to exclude the "References" section of articles from books would be valuable. Some articles have an awful lot of references. While good from the perspective of verifiability of information, this can be significantly wasteful in book form. For instance, the article on Evolution has almost 300 references, and in PDF book format they span almost 10 pages! In a book composed of many reference-heavy articles, it is entirely conceivable that over 100 pages could be devoted purely to references. This can significantly inflate the cost of having a book printed.
