The school was founded by V. Veeraraghavachari in 1896. The headmasters of the school were M. C. Rajagopla Naidu, S. R. Sinivasa Iyengar, S. K. Mathru Bootham, K. N. Rangaswamy Iyer, Dharmaiah, K.
