Hugo Sotelo Gómez (born 19 December 2003) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Celta.
Career[edit]
A youth product of the Celta Vigo academy, Sotelo was called up to join the senior team for the first time in early May 2021 due to a series of injuries in the first team.[2] He made his professional debut with Celta Vigo in a 1–2 La Liga win over FC Barcelona on 16 May 2021.[3] Hailing from the youth ranks of the team from Vigo, Sotelo is seen as a great talent and top European clubs including FC Barcelona are keeping close tabs on him. His talents have alerted the likes of not just FC Barcelona, but also Real Madrid alongside other European sides. Moreover, his contract is set to expire in 2025 and his current release clause is set at only €10 million, a bargain of a price in relevance to his talents.[4]
